One of the most seminal priorities for assistance post-disaster is shelter. This includes, but is not limited to, the distribution of myriad shelter material (i.e. blankets), including tents, plastic sheeting, fastening fixtures and rope. Blanket Haiti Initiative: Serve as a conduit between socially responsive businesses, associations and philanthropic individuals who are committed to providing relief blankets to hospitals, orphanages and clinics in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. THF, with the support of volunteers and sponsors, has delivered more than 1,000 blankets.

In partnership with the Big Easy Kiwanis Club, we have adopted the elementary school tuition of Hally Polynice (age 6) of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Hally is an astonishingly impressive child THF met while distributing humanitarian relief and we are very grateful for the opportunity to assist the Polynice family: “Making the World a better place one child at a time.” Loyola University Haiti Task Force Miss New Orleans Supports Blanket Haiti
