Blanket Brooklyn: Hurricane Sandy Drive

Posted on

Hamp Da HighStepper and Uncle Tureaud are teaming up to raise support and awareness for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

We are asking our friends to donate a new or gently used blanket, details below.

On Thanksgiving Day, Hamp Da HighStepper and Uncle Tureaud will release video and images of their special dunk contest!

This blanket drive is a humanitarian relief initiative sponsored by Team Happy Foundation (THF), New Orleans Healing Center, FEGS Health and Human Services, UJA-Federation of New York, Comfort Long Beach Initiative and Alpha Chi Omega – Zeta Psi Chapter.

Since December 2005, THF has delivered love in the form of more than 3,000 blankets to the victims of the Haiti Earthquake as well as to those impacted by Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Gustav.

Blankets will directly benefit children and families who live in Red Hook Brooklyn, Far Rockaway Queens and Long Beach Long Island.
